There's an empty bed
where your tiny head once lay,
a hollow ache in my heart
since you went away
But I know the Lord -
faithful and true
is watching over me
while holding tight to you
Though the cradle lies empty,
His promises do not
He's filled heaven with your laughter,
a joy that cannot be bought
Your little hands now reach for His
in a place beyond all pain,
where love and light forever live,
and sorrow has no reign
While we long for the moments
we never got to see,
I trust in His mercy -
knowing you're truly free
Though our arms feel the absence,
our faith bears the weight
that one day we'll be with you,
our sweet Emory Kate ❤
