stained red garments - washed winter white
walking through darkness, i found light
a seed buried deep in winter's frost
i cracked open in the soil of all that was lost
the soil soaked up all of my shame
yet it was there, in the soil -
Your flame remained
roots reached down where shadows lay
and from dust, You molded me with clay
my heart, once a storm-tossed sea
now rests calmly beneath the willow tree
rivers that once ran wild with fear
now whisper peace as You draw near
in the forest dark, You called my name
like the wind that speaks, I'll never be the same
You breathed through branches, soft and wide
and led me to the riverside
where petals fall and mountains bow
i found my soul - a fountain now
the sky, once heavy with clouds of night
unfurled its wings and i took flight
