As we step into the Christmas season, I’m reminded of how deeply this time of year reflects the heart of Oak & Vine. Just as the vine sustains the branches and the oak stands firm through every storm, Christmas brings us back to the One who sustains and strengthens us – Jesus.
Isaiah 11:1 says, “A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse; from his roots a branch will bear fruit.” This verse paints such a beautiful picture of Christ’s birth – life and hope springing forth from unlikely places.
Christmas reminds us that no matter how weary or uprooted we feel, there is always hope in Jesus. Just as an oak grows stronger with time and a vine bears fruit when connected to the source, we can find peace, strength, and joy by staying rooted in Him.
For me, Christmas has always been a time to pause, reflect, and reconnect. In the busyness of decorating, shopping, and planning, I’ve learned to intentionally focus on the heart of the season: God’s gift of His Son, a gift that brings renewal and hope to every weary soul.
This season, I encourage you to find moments to rest in His presence. Reflect on the true meaning of Christmas, read His Word, and let the hope of Christ renew your heart. Let’s take time to pause and reflect on the true gift of Christmas – God with us; Immanuel.
Let’s stay rooted in the One who never fails and look forward with joy to the fruit He will bear in us this coming year.
xx,
Kaitlyn
